How can new floor covering be bonded quickly and easily to existing wearing surfaces?

With Sigan 2.

Tearing out existing wearing surfaces is elaborate and accompanied by inconveniences as well as unproductive downtimes. Sigan 2 offers a quick and sure solution and what’s more, it can be removed without residues even after years. New PVC, CV and nora rubber flooring can be installed quickly and clean on existing PVC or linoleum substrates using the switchTec® adhesive technology from UZIN.

Step 1: Damp-sweep the substrate with clean water to remove dust, dirt, etc...
Step 2: First perform a trial bonding to check whether Sigan 2 adheres well to the existing PVC floor covering.
Step 3: Affix the supplied Sigan tape along walls and protrusions. This provides increased adhesive strength in the edge areas.
Step 4: Install the Sigan sheets on butt in the direction of the floor covering to be installed or cut back the overlap of the sheets on butt.
Step 5: Fit the acclimatized floor covering and fold back half of the floor covering.
Step 6: Remove the protective paper from Sigan 2.
Step 7: Slide the floor covering without open time onto the Sigan film carrier and roll-out. Follow the same procedure with the 2nd half of the floor covering.
Step 9: The floor covering can be walked on and used right after bonding. The floor covering can be removed without residues even years later.
